Since April 2009, Sara has been providing the service of NHS funded electrolysis through the Charing Cross Gender Identity Clinic.

This is offered during clinic hours every Tuesday for clients who are under the care of Charing Cross requiring facial electrolysis, or since November 2008, are a client from within a London NHS Primary Care Trust (London Consortium) and require genital electrolysis prior to their Gender Reassignment Surgery with Mr James Bellringer or Mr Phil Thomas.

Patients will know if they are a candidate for Genital Electrolysis once they have been seen by the Charing Cross Hospital specialist gender Nurse Lisa Dorras, or by surgeons Mr Bellringer or Mr Thomas. If you live within a London PCT area, an appointment should be made with your GP who will in turn write to the PCT. You should receive a confirmation letter of funding for genital hair removal shortly after this.
